“Opening Doors” Reception: Friday, 10/16

The University Libraries, eLearning and Academic Support will be hosting the traveling exhibit Opening Doors: Contemporary African American Academic Surgeons at the Mulford Library, Fourth Floor, on the University of Toledo Health Science Campus. Developed and produced by the National Library of Medicine and the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture, Baltimore, the exhibit is a celebration of the overall contribution of African American academic surgeons to medicine and medical education, and highlights the specific contribution of four outstanding individuals.

The exhibit will be on display from October 1 through November 26. A reception is planned for Friday, October 16 from 3:00-5:00 p.m., and will feature Dr. Reginald F. Baugh, Professor in the Department of Surgery and Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at The University of Toledo, as guest speaker. Light refreshments will be served.
